What's a green badge? The green badge is awarded by the Institute of Tourist Guiding.  It's similar to a blue badge (the badges are awarded by the same institute, meaning qualified guides have passed exams specialising in the place they guide) but a green badge shows expertise in a concentrated area such as a city like Manchester, rather than a region such as the North West.
